Greetings and courses

Hello dear friends,

Again it's been a long time since I wrote a newsletter and I hope this finds you well and happy.

Here is part of an article from Jack Kornfield, one of the current and prominent mindfulness teachers from the West. I find him very encouraging and supportive.

Peace and Comfort

Hello dear friends,

I wanted to reach out to you on the Solstice, the longest night of the year. This is a turning point, a time to reflect and feel a deeper connection with yourself, with unfolding presence and with others. The practice of Mindfulness, both formal and informal develops a deeper connection to life as it is and through this process, resilience also develops.

How cheery the Christmas lights are, proclaiming our natural need for connection and resilience. They are one of the wonderful things about this time of year.

Loss

Hello dear friends,

My beloved son took his own life last week. He suffering was unbearable.  I do feel that he is now at peace.

PS to Courage Resilience and Peace

Good afternoon dear friends,

Marcel Proust once said, “The real voyage of discovery lies not in finding new landscapes but in having new eyes.”

Thank you so much for all the loving and thoughtful responses to my most recent newsletter. For those who received a blank instead of the letter, here is the link http://www.dailymindfulness.com/newsletters/courage-resilience-and-peace

I realise increasingly and with almost a child like astonishment, that the more we reach out and connect with our common humanity, the more supported we feel.

July weekend corrrection

Good morning dear friends,

I hope you are well and able to spend time outdoors this weekend feeling spring-like!

The correction for the 'Coming Home to the Heart' weekend July 8-9 at Fintry just south of Godalming is that the all inclusive price £195.00 is for mostly singles with a few twins.  There are still four singles and three twins available and it could work out that the twins are used as singles depending on how many join us.

Gorgeous Days

Dear Friends,

These April days have been so beautiful recently. I wonder whether you chose to make some time to sit in the sun this weekend to soak up the goodness? (there is a poem as usual below).

Midhrst meeting reminder

Hello everyone,

Just a quick reminder about the Monthly Meeting at the new venue in Midhurst this Thursday at 7.30pm - 9.00pm. It's at the Old Town Hall above Garston's.

Please bring a cushion to sit on as the chairs are rather hard and a shawl if you like to be cosy. It will be warm enough in any event.

Please if you can, do let me know if you are planning to come but do come anyway on the spur of the moment, even if you haven't given me notice.

See you there,

Love Barbara
